Windows 7 allows you to disable/uninstall Internet Explorer. Follow the steps outlined below:

1. Goto Control Panel and find out the “All Control Panel Options”
2. Click “Programs and Features”
3. Click “Turn Windows Features On or Off” in the left pane.
4. Find out Internet Explorer 8 listed in the program list.
5. uncheck the option.

Click OK and rebook the system.

Once the system is restarted, you will not see any instances of IE8.

Issue - You may have issues enabling the InPrivate option in Internet Explorer 8.

Cause - This issue happens with Live Family Safety software that was installed.

Resolution - Currently, InPrviate Options doesn’t work when the Live Family Safety software is installed and the Activity reporting is on.

As the Live Family Safety option has more features than InPrivate browsing, it overrides IE8 options.

If you wish to enable the InPrivate Option, you may need to uninstall the Live Family Safety software.

Issue - You may not be able to see the Flash player images in certain websites after upgrading to IE8. You may also experience the following message

You either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe’s Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

Installing new version of flash player also may not resolve the issue.

Cause - This issue happens with the inconsistencies with Flash player add-ons, and IE.

Resolution - To resolve the issue, perform the following:

• Close all IE windows.
• Download offline installer of Adobe Flash Player [ Download ]
• Run the Installer, to uninstall the Flash player add-ons.
• Set the Security zone to Low. ( Tools, InternetOptions, Security)
• Install the Flash Player
• Set the Security Zone to the earlier value.
