News on Internet Explorer 10

Microsoft has officially confirmed that Internet Explorer 10 will be released in 2012. So what would be new in their new browser which is expected to release with in no time after the successful release of Internet Explorer 9??

Here are some of the possible things that you may see the their new release:

HTML6 & CSS4, and SVG Support

Patrick Dengler, Microsoft, Member of W3C ih his paper has mentioned

“I am not sure what innovations will  surface in HTML6, but I do know that  changes need to be made in order  to move forward and allow future innovation to thrive.

HTML has such momentum, and  is expanding quickly.  Consumers struggle to make sense of the differences between SVG and HTML, which CSS specification should apply, or even more importantly, how something is supposed to work due to incompatibilities.”

WebGL

Even though Internet Explorer 9 has lots of features, it does not support WebGL. It is much required for lot of websites and online games. Microsoft is including the WebGL in its next version of browser. Internet Explorer 10 can also rely on add-on browser plugins like SilverLight etc.,

Touchscreen support?

Its a known fact that Microsoft is trying hard to survive in the browser market by improving the performance of its browers from one version to the other. I’ve read some of the blogs where it was mentioned as Internet Explorer 10 will have new touch-screen features. If it is true, IE 10 would be the first browser to have this support.. huh.. what about the competetors now :)

Which version of Internet Explorer will be shipped with Windows 8?

It is possible that Windows 8 will be released with Internet Explorer since both of these products are targeted to release in the year 2012. Since the beta is already available, there are much possibilities to release Windows 8 with Internet Explorer 10.
