Issue – You may find the “Days to Keep pages in history” option grayed out and not able to change the no.of days as shown in the below screen shot:
Cause – This issue may happen, if you are using any third party security programs, which disables this feature or IE tweaks.
Resolution – To resolve this issue, you need to set the DWORD Value to 0 for the registry key “History” under the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftInternet ExplorerControl Panel

Simply download, unzip the .zip files, and run the .reg file. Ensure to take backup of the registry before you run the .reg file.
